Helmet Size Chart – Head Circumference (CM) AU, US, UK & EU

This helmet size chart helps you estimate the correct helmet size using head circumference measured in centimetres (CM), with common sizing equivalents used in Australia (AU), the United States (US), the United Kingdom (UK), and Europe (EU). Helmet fit varies by brand, model, and helmet type, so head measurement is the most reliable starting point.

📏 How to Measure Your Head for a Helmet (CM)

  1. Use a soft tape measure (or string and ruler).
  2. Wrap it around your head about 2–3 cm above your eyebrows.
  3. Pass the tape just above the ears and around the widest part at the back of your head.
  4. Keep the tape level and comfortably snug (not tight).
  5. Record the measurement in centimetres (CM).

Measure twice for accuracy. If your measurement falls between sizes, many people choose the larger helmet size.

🎯 Helmet Fit Tips

  • Helmet sizing is based primarily on head circumference in CM.
  • The helmet should feel snug and level, without pressure points.
  • Different helmet types (bike, skate, motorcycle, snow) may fit differently even at the same size.
  • Padding thickness and adjustment systems can affect final fit.
  • If between sizes, many users choose the larger size and adjust using pads or fit systems.
